| Letter from the Chair in Sexual Health I recently had the opportunity to visit with former US surgeon general, Joycelyn Elders, MD in her home in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have had the pleasure of working with Joycelyn for years, and as we sat at her kitchen table reminiscing of our journey in sexual health, we reflected on the lack of real progress in this country when it comes to a healthy discourse about sex. This ruling means that the federal government cannot hold sex offenders in custody beyond the end of their prison sentences. READ MORE |  | | People | | Sexual health advocate Neal Gault, MD, dies Neal Gault, MD, passed away on December 11, 2008, of pancreatic cancer. A memorial service was held on January 16, 2009, at the University of Minnesota's Mayo Auditorium. Gault was a long time supporter of PHS and the Minnesota medical community. READ MORE | 
| Michael Miner elected to board of directors Michael Miner, PhD, has been elected At-Large Representative to the national Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders board of directors for a term to begin in 2009 and end in 2011. |
