One of the advantages of the program's location within a large metropolitan area is the availability of health-related resources and outreach programs.

Chrysalis is a Twin Cities organization with the mission of empowering women and their families. Services include resources and referrals, divorce education, legal services, child care, mental health care, outpatient chemical health treatment, and volunteer opportunities.

Community Neighborhood Housing Services promotes community development through education and affordable housing programs. It offers home ownership workshops, financial seminars, and home improvement loans to individuals who may have difficulty qualifying for conventional loans.

Face to Face Health and Counseling Service, Inc. offers high-quality and affordable health care and support services to young people ages 11-23 without insurance.

The Greater Twin Cities United Way focuses on community partnerships to improve the community. Services include resources and referrals, job listings, community grants, and programs promoting education, health, and safety.

Hands On Twin Cities posts volunteer opportunities throughout the Twin Cities.

The Home Ownership Center promotes home ownership among low and moderate income Minnesotans and aids them in overcoming barriers to becoming home owners.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota has the mission of maximizing the potential of children, youth, and adults with learning disabilities. Services include testing, tutoring, literacy programs for students and teachers, public education, and educational workshops.

Merrick Community Services seeks to improve the lives of residents on the East Side of St. Paul by increasing neighborhood stability and strengthening family life. They offer senior services, family programs, youth programs, preschool and school readiness, emergency services, and employment services.

The Minnesota AIDS Project is a statewide, nonprofit agency committed to enhancing the lives of people living with HIV, prevention education for those at risk for HIV, and advocating for the rights of all affected by HIV.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) provides a number of community services. MDH maintains birth and death certificates as well as statistics about births and deaths and diseases in Minnesota. It collects information on health facilities (such as hospitals and nursing homes) and Minnesota's public health system.

Project for Pride in Living is a nonprofit organization assisting low and moderate income people to become self-sufficient by addressing their job, affordable housing, and neighborhood needs.

Ramsey County Department of Public Health provides essential public health services through disease and injury prevention and environmental hazard education. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is one of the services to which we often refer patients. The department provides services to sexual assault victims through Sexual Offense Services. Many of the residents in the St. John's Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program complete their community health rotation with the Ramsey County Department of Public Health.

St. Paul Youth Services works with families and the community to redirect youth who are starting to get in trouble at home, in school, or with the law.
