Mankato Family Medicine Residency Program

We are a dually accredited residency program, accredited by both the American Osteopathic Association and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Residents are trained by MDs and DOs allowing for a broad range of career opportunities including academics and research.
     
Clinic and Hospital
  • Residents develop their own patient panels at our busy clinic.
  • Residents have access to the Internet resources of the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic.

  Residency
  • This year our program will accept five PGY1 residents.
  • Our program's residents are the only residents at ISJ.
     
Location
  • Our program is based in Mankato, a friendly town of 45,000, located on the Minnesota River in the south central area of the state.
  • We're an easy drive from Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota's Twin Cities, the state's largest metropolitan area.
  • The area has abundant parks and trails for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy year-round.

To Apply

To apply to the MD/DO dual-accredited University of Minnesota Mankato Family Medicine Residency Program, register with the National Matching Service (NMS) (for osteopathic students only) or the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Apply in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) by Dec. 31.
