Adjunct Faculty Benefits

Your
free U Card identifies you as a faculty member on the Twin Cities campus. The card can be obtained at G22 Coffman Memorial Union, the Rec Center, or the St. Paul Gym.

Athletic Facilities 
The University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course, located near the St. Paul campus, is available at faculty rates.

Adjunct faculty and their spouses are eligible for membership in Recreational Sports. The University Recreation Center, Minneapolis campus, has two fitness centers, two gymnasiums, fourteen racquetball and five squash courts. The St. Paul Gymnasium has three fitness equipment areas, racquetball courts, gymnasium, swimming pool, and climbing wall.

Adjunct faculty may purchase tickets online for University of Minnesota Gopher sporting events at faculty rates when available.

Health Sciences Libraries – 612-626-5653

The resources of University libraries, including the Health Sciences Libraries, are available to adjunct faculty. You may check out materials, request reference assistance, obtain computer searches, and access databases from home or office.

Most CME courses offer a reduced fee for adjunct faculty. Conference schedule is available online; specify that you are adjunct faculty when registering over the phone.

E-mail/Internet Account – 612-626-4276
Adjunct faculty members receive an e-mail/Internet account at no charge. After your appointment letter is sent, the University sends a letter assigning your e-mail address. To obtain your password and user ID and access your account, call the University’s Computer Helpline at 612-626-4276, Monday-Thursday, 8 am-4 pm.

Local and national exhibits are available at the Weisman at no charge. Reduced admission for special events is available to adjunct faculty.


James Ford Bell Museum of Natural History – 612-624-7083

The Bell houses permanent exhibits on the life sciences and has a Touch and See Room, a favorite with children. Free admission with U Card.

University Arts Ticket Office – 612-624-2345

University Arts Ticket Office sells tickets to theater, dance, and music productions at the Rarig Center, Ted Mann Concert Hall, and Northrup Auditorium. Adjunct faculty receive discounts on selected events. Purchase tickets online or by calling 612-624-2345, Monday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm.
