He is actively involved with undergraduate, medical student, and residency education and also works at the Rural Health Research Center in the Division of Health Policy at the University of Minnesota. He has extensive experience working with forest tribes and in rural areas of southern India and is actively involved in projects there, advocating that health is critical to overall development of an area.
