During that time, he developed a wide range of procedural skills, including C-section, appendectomy, laparoscopy, and vasectomy, and was active in clinic management. He joined North Memorial faculty in 1991 and was named director in 1997.

He routinely teaches procedural skills, such as sigmoidoscopy, OB ultrasound, and other OB procedures. | | | Geoffrey Abbott, MSW, behaviorist gabbott@umphysicians.umn.edu Education: University of MN Clinical interests: Pyschotherapy, hypnosis, family violence, and integrating mental health into primary care Background: Abbott has been at North Memorial since 1977. Through precepting, video reviews, and team meeting and seminars, he helps residents understand patient-physician communication dynamics to increase their awareness of psychosocial factors. He also helps residents effectively utilize community resources.
| | | Jerica Berge, PhD, behaviorist mohl0009@umn.edu Education: University of MN in marriage and family therapy Research interests: Reducing health disparities through community engagement and participatory action research, resiliency of children with chronic illnesses, and reducing biopsychosocial problems through couples/family therapy Background: Berge is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in collaborative care and family health issues. She has specialized clinical training in child play therapy, loss and grief issues, critical incident stress management, couples and sex therapy, parenting, depression, anxiety, group therapies, and working with families struggling with chronic illnesses.

Prior to joining North Memorial, Crichlow had been on faculty at the MT Family Medicine Residency with her continuity clinic in the town of Joliet, MT (population 300).

She was also faculty at Regions Hospital Family Medicine Residency for five years before joining North Memorial.

In 2007, he joined North Memorial faculty.
